About the Artist

Carole Barley originally trained as a Heraldic Artist  producing heraldic wall-plaques, paintings and shields for Beaulah & Co. in Hull.
Since starting her own business, she has produced artwork for the Armed Forces, members of the Nobility and Government departments from as far afield as Borneo and New Zealand.
Examples of her work can be seen in company boardrooms, Naval Museums and Hotels in Europe, the USA , UK and the Far East. 

Since diversifying and offering art commissions, she has  been asked to portray almost everything from domestic pets to bees on a honeycomb, WW II warships to vintage automobiles.  Carole has also designed logos for the World Ship Society, the Birman Cat Club and the Russian Convoy Club, as well as producing  a memorial portraits for the HMS Warspite Association and HMS Eagle.

Favourite commissions were for the ocean liner Canberra,  the Home Office, National Westminster Bank  and the Count and Countess Karpinski.

Carole has exhibited at the Ferens Art Gallery,  Lloyds Gallery,  Galleria Sirena and the White Gallery .
